I met the Facelift guys when I was at the Cleaning Show in Birmingham NEC earlier this year.

I really fancied one; it's light but strong and I like the way it's designed; sort of a cross between modular and a standard fibre glass pole; so you can use only the sections you need.

Anyway, they (the 'Facelift guys') told me that if you purchase direct, you'd get the pole cheaper than purchasing it from a supplier.

They gave me a card, but I've lost it!

So get googling!  I'm sure they can supply you quickly; they make the things.

Am I missing something?

2 Months!!!!!!!!

I had to wait 2 days for mine.

What exactly is the problem. Are you purchasing direct from facelift or a supplier?

Why did you go direct to facelift?

They are useless.

I emailed the several times about a fault with the pole and the never once got back to me!

You shoud have used cleantech. They dont mess anyone around.

Oh dear, sounds like they shot themselves in the foot with that one. They sound a bit desperate.

I just phoned them about their 44ft (from hip high) carbon pole (with glass on the bottom section).  They quoted £874 + VAT which comes to about £1,026.  Ouch !!   Does that sound about right?  I'm astonished it's so expensive but it looks like I will be needing a pole of that height in the near future and I do want a light one too.  I thought about a modular carbon pole such as supplied by Garner's but feel that I'm too slob handed for something that delicate.

Just realised that I've resurrected an old thread but it's still a relevant issue  :)

Hi Shiner,

The Facelift is a good pole and very adaptable.

It might be too late for your needs but we have got the Super-Lite Mk2 coming out in late September and it is about 4 times stronger/tougher than the previous model Super-Lite. The top section (which is what takes the strain when shutting windows etc.) is strong enough to play baseball with! and still only weighs 125g for the top 5ft.

That does sound interesting Alex and it may be in time for what I will be needing.
A few questions (apologies if you have already answered them on here).

1)  Is it modular or telescopic?
2)  Do you have a gooseneck for the top section (assuming the pole can cope with one)?
3)  Is the pricing going to be around the £10 per foot area like the Mk1.

I am slowly losing my aversion to modular poles.  The penny has gradually dropped that such a pole is really only to be used on certain jobs in order to preserve it.  Most of my work can be done with an 18ft Extender pole.  A bit cheap and nasty for some people's taste but I don't mind changing a cheap, lightish pole twice a year if it will help preserve my shoulders and elbows.
Using a lightweight modular pole on most of my work would be like using my best suit to play football in.
It may well be that the work that's coming in isn't so urgent so late September may yet be OK.  Things will be clearer over the next couple of weeks.

As my Topic seems to come back alive! I might as well update!

It now seems facelift have sorted the problem with supplying there poles and it should be much easier now if you are looking to purchase one! I am a new owner of a 44ft facelift pole and very happy with it  :)
