change trad cleaned to wfp easily
« on: June 17, 2007, 10:39:07 pm »
i always knock before starting work   have to respect
their sense of privacy
after a while you know  theyre at work-hardly ever see these people   pay by cheq or whatever
i just go ahead with my pole   dont ask  some people i sense may be opposed to it
and when theyre in i say ive been doing it this way for months  they dont mind   been very clean all the time so what?
older folks could take a lot of persuading if theyre asked in the first place
have to do them early in the day if not they come home and see all the water
itssneaky for sure  but not wrong
what do you want to do? spend 8 hrs cleaning 10 houses trad or just 4hrs wfp?
Zen is the art of seeing everything.....noticing nothing

I don't knock i just start. The only time i knock is if there are window's open.

My customer's know i don't do "not this time", i'll drop them on the spot enless they have a good reason like work being done.

I'm wfp all the way & if it's not to their liking they can find a new wc. Saying that i don't rush & always get great results so i don't get complaints.

8 hours to do 10 houses, mate thats is poor. They must have been fooking huge. I aim for 9 3bed semi houses in 2 hours comfortably and to be honest WFP is rubbish in my opinion. Any one who is good at trad and has the staderd rounds ( squegey winows and not to tricky climbs) should be using trad as you get a much better job and a lot less fuss. Only time i would recomend WFP is if you aint good at what you do. i recon in another 20 years i will start to slow down abit so mite start using it then.
Dont argue with a retard, they will just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.

im not being funny, but your cant say its rubbish, not one bit, i always get customers telling me its better than trad, and i dont have to convince them! it comes from them, not me

im not just jumping on the band wagon, and going with everyone that says its better...im saying its better...because it is...

anyway, if you wanna spend your days going up and down a ladder for the next 20 years, up to you isnt it...i think traditional is crap compared to wfp, but im not someone who says peoples techniques are rubbish. its up to you what you use, and if you dont like it then dont use it...but by any means, you have no right to say its rubbish

I would love to know how you came to the conclusion that wfp is rubbish???

I did 16 houses today with a backpack  and all perfect results and all customers very happy. When I was trad I would only have done about 9-11 of these houses.

So I would say wfp is superb. Results were better and I got 5 more houses done without risking my life going up a ladder.

Your entitled to your opinion by all means but at least back it up with some form of reason.

im not starting anything...but people openly and offenly say wfp is crap. how often do us wfp's say trad is crap

i do use both but never trad outside, only insides.

the other day it was blazing hot and i saw a bloke up a ladder scrimming some leaded windows, over and over and over again. i just thought dear me, what a waste of time and effort. i dont rush with wfp, but i could manage 3 houses by the time he does that 1 house.

but all im saying is, customers love it, and to be honest, as long as they're clean they couldnt care less how you clean em!

Ok thanks for your opinion but wfp is not as good as alot of you cowd make out and im sure squeeks will back me up. First of all if you were doing 9 10 houses a day well somthink was wrong with the way you do trad because i tripple your work load each day ( unless you do unusualy big houses)and if you only do 16 with a back pack well do you real think the 5 houses a day is worth the water cost extra fule cost and the break, clutch, and tyer repairs you will have to fork on your van. Mixed togeather with the actuall price of the system you have you must have to work 10 to 12 months before you actually make a return. As for getting better results that is bullforks, you get tree sap, bird muck or any other stain on a window and you are spended ages getting it off. Tree sap aint even gona comming off. Then you get oxerdised frames yet again you are there for ages scrubing away so you aint left with a white shine on the window. As with trad your not going to get better results ask any1 who realy knows you get better resultes by doing it.

The only down points of trad is of course the phisical danger of falling. Also if you have the actuall fittness to keep going at a steady pace, and if your knees shoulders and wrists can take the strain after day in day out wear and tare.
Dont argue with a retard, they will just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Also I have a WFP set up i just choose not to use it now, the only time i do use it is for doing conservitory roofs, wich it is great for but i just get sick of people over and over again saying how amazing it is. Bottom line is, its ok, amazing how it actually works, but all it is is ok.

Right,

Thank you for input ;)

Firstly, I can average 20+ houses a day trad if I wanted to. (prob 20-30 with wfp.......Also if I wanted to and put the effort in.

Now the 9-10 houses I quoted above are all spread out and I have to travel quite far to get to them. They are all large houses and are priced anywhere between £15 - £25. (my best work) Wish I had houses like this all the time!!!

So by using my back pack today I was able to complete all these houses and have time to do a extra 6 houses!!! (well.... I thought that was good going)

Now........ On to the vehicle,
I have never had such low bills for my vehicle since switching over to wfp. If your stupid and over load your van then you will have trouble. IE: clutch, brakes etc.

I never have my van anywhere near its max carrying capacity.

Maybe I miss read a post of yours?

You have a ro and a ibc tank? Why?????? If wfp is so poor why have this? Do you fill your little bucket up with the pure stuff every day?

First of all fill your profile in, second of all read posts properly, as for saying so many people convert to it and then say it makes all the diffrence and how much its improved ther work, well i have a system and i dont rate it. Also i would put money on it i would better you for speed and end result over a 10 house block.

ALso you gota think about drouts and hoze pipe bans, you gota have rain store up or its gona be back to ladders, lol i know there aint no risk with the weather we have been having at the minute but it does and will happen. so make sure yous dont fall out of practice and you wont have a shock. I was gona also say bout cables in dog stuff, but ther is also the trad point of stepping init then runing up the ladder then putting your hand in it on the way down. (a personal favorate of mine)

I will start thinking there is such thing as droughts when they say we cant build a million house's in the South & welcome millions of immigrants because there is not enough water for them.

We have had no resovoiurs built since 1976 so with the huge increase in housing & population its no wonder the water supply is stretched to the limit.
