hi guys how did you make the job easier?
iv been out today and think im doing something wrong,i seem to take ages to set up and put away,and i keep getting an air lock somewhere between tank to pump?
any helpfull suggestion or advice from you experts would be good.

I had the same prob with airlock between tank and pump. I lowered the pump to just off the van floor and that seemed to fix it

I put a non return valve/end stop on the end of my hose so that the water stays pressurised and dosen't flow back through the pump. I also put my di vessel after the pump so that's pressured up too, that way I will spot any leaks pretty quickly.

Buy a double male hoselock attachement. When water stops coming out of brush, connect and suck, problem solved

i had this problem aswell and all i done was lowered the pump to just off the van floor same as a-r window cleanin and never had a problem since

Just go Traditional and you wont have them sort of problems mate.

i had exactly the same problem.

i gave it 2 days, then bought 2 water butts, stuck them in the back of my escort van and converted it into a van system.

that was a long time ago and i've never looked back. i can see how a trolley or backpack would be of use to me sometimes

When you start it does take a long time getting set up but it gets better. I soon learned the "art" of the hose. I bought A good microbore hose with brass push connectors and a reel from Varitech and it turned things around.
 You can save yourself a bundle of effort by using a hose to its best advantage. By that I mean running out you hose to the furthest point and then working your way back to where you started from. Before that I was lugging the trolly around  all over the place. Now I still have a trolly but I use it like a van mount 90% of the time and even when I do get it out ( because I can't park close enough) I use it as a static base station.

I had a lot of trouble with air locks but microbore hose solved that one. It has a much lower internal volume and the pump is able to push the air through much easier. Before that I used to waste a lot of time, and water.

hi nigel the pole is so much better for me to use than the fiber glass i had b4.
just need to get a new brush now as i use the one from gaz h2o all the time,and im going to get a gooseneck like you have.
where did you get it again?

ps. did you see something wrong with me when we met?
only went out door knocking yesterday and out of about 30 at least 20 open the door then quickly shut it to about 2inches then said sorry we have one when clearly they dont.

Simple.

I (mostly) just use one pole - 18ft Predator.

Hose reel is always connected up to the pump with long enough high pressure hose to allow reel to be lifted out of the van and placed on the ground clear of the back doors.

Stop van.

Open back doors.

Switch on Varistream.

Lift out hosereel.

Take out pole.

Grab end of hose.

Walk to first window.

Extend pole.

Plug in pole hose.

Start washing window.

How hard can it be?

thanks for all the replys they will help guys,but iv drilled a hole in my van floor so i can connect out side the van and lock it,its the first time iv had airlock.
i think its because i did not put the pump on then connect up as i normaly like to see water befor i connect to the reel.

Just in case you get another(airlock) get a double male hoselock (£1.50) and after the pump but before the di attach it and suck. Problem sorted.

Ian my hose reel is mounted on the van. You are wasteing time and effort.
