How much waste should come out of a merlin when i switch mine on seems that just the same amount waste as the good stuff came out???????  ive got a lever on there to slow it down but dont think thats good for the merlin?

thats good mate mine filled a 25L good and 100L watse but i have now turned the flow valve to about 2 oclock and this has helped with the waste 40-60 now

moving soon and wont be metred otherwise i would be thinking of a differnt ro

Dont know the Merlin that well, but normally if you restrict the waste water outlet, then there will be a gradual build up on the Membrane Inside Housing which will reduce the life of the Membrane. The better solution is to buy and fit a Booster pump, the increased Input pressure will produce better/lower TDS values and reduce the waste water procentage. Terry
