No 3 looks bigger than the others.

I'd say £30 outside, £50 roofs, £70 insides.

I think the effect of cleaning would last longer than a week

Thanks DWC

But I won't be telling them that it will last longer than a week, there in business to sell expensive conservatories, and need to have them in tip top condition, it was them who asked for the outsides to be done weekly.

I would price it up as a complete job, commercial like this is hard to come by & would relish it if i was you, dont kill it.

I would qoute £250 min to £300 max per calendar month for this job.

We do similar & charge £5.00 per conservatory ext £5.00 int & £5.00 roof. Not top prices claimed by others but you will get repeat work commercialy. But before anybody scoffs that is only taking on pristine new ones which take minutes.

Thanks Garry, The Boss suggested pricing as a full monthly one, and I think this is the best way to go.

The company has only been there for five weeks, so there is five weeks of dirt on them, but when I seen them today they all looked  cleanish to me.

Just out of interest, how would you clean the insides of the roof without dripping water all over the place?

Outs 35 - 45

Ins 50 - 70 or = to outs if you want the job and they're really easy.

Roofs 60 - 90

If you are going to do it that often it will be a doddle. And if you are wfp the roof will be a piece of cake.  If you can guarantee the work you could reduce the price a little.  If they want the inside roofs done it's gonna be big money.

Simon.

Hi Jonny

With some damp scrim & dry scrim or use a mop & squeegee? I'm assuming a squeegee is no good here.

I'm just re-reading my question & I didn't word it very well, I wasn't thinking of doing it wfp if you thought thats what I meant ;D

I suppose my real question is how would you lot tackle the inside roof on a conservatory yellow with smoke? I've a bit of tfr here I havent used & was wondering would that be any use on a nicotine covered roof?

P.S. Sorry for hijacking the thread  :-[

if it doesn't come off with a damp scrim, microfibre then I would try tfr, make sure its the non-caustic though.

All 4 cons have only been up 5 weeks, so still pretty clean, I did ask about inside roofs, but they declined, if they ever do want the roof done inside then the price will shoot up.

Inside will be done Trad, using mop & squeegee with microfibres
Outside all WFP ;D

Jeff

Just had another look, my actual price would be

Ext weekly             £40.00 x 52 =     £2080.00
Int fortnightly        £40.00 x 26 =      £1040.00
Roofs                     £30.00 x 12 =      £360.00

                                         TOTAL =    £3480.00

Divide by 12  =     £290.00 per calendar month

The internals should not require a regular clean, i would allow about £100 for this once or tice per annum. Either included in above or as an additional charge to be arranged by client when required. Easy with small tower or step ladders.

I think the thing that Gary has got spot on is pricing it all together and giving them a monthly charge.  That way you can split the work up a bit more like a con roof a week and some ins every week.  This way it will be easier to fit in with other work.  Of course only if that idea is acceptable to the customer.

Simon.

I took Gary's advice on the pricing the whole Job per month and this is what I did:-

I phoned this morning as requested and asked for the girl who phoned me, she wasn't there, but I spoke to the area manager :o this guy was the one who requested a W/C and gave the frequency times.

I gave him a price of £400 per month and he said to me don't charge us monthly, do it on a weekly basis of £100 per week, this way you won't loose out on a 5 week month ;D (must admit I forgot about that) he said the price sounds very good, but has to put it to head office, he told me he would tell head office of the cost of £100 per week and I would do what ever they required, (head office apparently like this method)

But he asked me if I could stick to the frequency already agreed.
He also asked if I could do it on a Sunday :o Now as a rule Sunday is a no no for me, but the problems I had with access as the entrance is off a huge car-park, there is no way I can get into the property and would have to work from the entrance to the car-park causeing all sorts of problems to my self and people useing the car-park, so a sunday morning sounds a little better to me.

I will let you Guy's know if I get a phone call to give me the go  ahead.

Thanks for all the advice from you guy's, This is how I normally work when I have several reply's.

I gather all the advice you give,  then I sit down and look at the best options, I might take a bit from here, and a bit from there, put it all together into my own package that should work for me.
Thanks again Guy's.

One thing I did forget to mention Guy's, this conservory company are in the business of selling good quality conseratories, and all the Glass roofs are fitted with self cleaning Glass ;D,  why do they need them cleaned then? do we still have something to worry about ::)   I don't think so ;D

When I asked the salesman why do they need them cleaned, his reply was we don't have enough rain :o and he's Originally from florida.  ;D
