« on: May 23, 2007, 09:10:04 am »
Hi everyone

i am in the process of contacting local letting agencies for end of let cleans, could anyone one tell me is it best to quote per hour or per day ? or per individual job after site visit, and does anyone have a spec sheet that i could look at

I have not done this before and would value your feed back

Hi There

We have just had the same thing.  We quoted £200 for a 1 bed flat, but you need to know how dirty it is.  When you quote state that it is for a reasonably clean property.  If you go to the search on this site and put in EOT  and have a look through them, there is one that gives rough guides to houses.

Hope this helps

Many thanks for that,
Its been hard trying to get into this market but i will keep trying.
Mind you i have been told by others in the area that Estate agents want it done there and then at a cheap rate

I work for a couple of letting agents and housing associations doing void cleans and end of tenancy. I charge by the hour and they both seem happy with it as long as you provide a good service and don't get greedy and overcharge.

Thanks
Karl

THANKS, I have recently sent out letters to agents and housing associations, and will give the hourly rate a try here. its really hard to start with to work out prices without either going in too cheap or too expensive, at least with doing by the hour i will find it easier to work out costs.

Thanks again

hello we never quote hourly rates EVER it leads to problems ..........it is difficult but with experience of doing the work you can make in the region of £25.00 to £30.00 per hour on most of these sorts of jobs.

letting agents where we are (lincolnshire) tend to stick to the same cleaning companys as they know what they are getting its not an easy market to crack but can be very rewarding if you get it right  ;) ;)

one other thing to consider is PAYMENT can be upto 60 days if the £££££££ are from the tennants deposit  ::) ::)
