On Holiday?
« on: May 16, 2007, 02:22:11 pm »
This is probably directed more to the smaller companies. Can I ask what you guys and gals do when on Holiday.

Do you cover each other on this forum? Is there an agency that you all use? Do you employ a temp and if so where from? Does anyone loan out staff?

I'm looking for 10 hours a week cover in the first two weeks of July in the Essex area and don't have anyone to cover and am a bit worried about approaching other companies as they might steal your contract when you are away.

What do you do?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Brian.

Well usually i sunbathe, swim, have nice meals out .....................  lol  ;D

Seriously - I don't have that problem as we are not that small but have you not got family or friends that would cover you for this period?  You could always put a ad out for someone to cover but in all honesty if you don't know them and you are not going to be around I wouldn't want to just stick anyone in.

Hi

You have to have a holiday.

Getting away enables you to look at your business (& life) from a distance and from different angles. It is this distance that can help your business move on or you will think about how to improve something.

While doing your business on a day to day business can cloud your judgement and you sometimes cannot see the wood for the trees.

Getting away is an imperitive part of business.

(I go away more than once, gotta recharge those batteries)
