It is nothing so complicated.  At the trade show I was asked if it was some kind of cam that made it stay up, among other things. 

All you are doing is pushing the pole up then gripping the hose and it stays there, then releasing the hose to let it down again.  Like most things the simpler you keep it the better it is, with less to go wrong.

Missed this.  It can have any brush on it but the lighter the brush the better.  Because the pole only weighs 1.5KG a heavy brush is more noticeable, and can cause the pole to droop a bit when horizontal.  When your using it with a heavier brush it is still very rigid. 

I have a good Salmon brush that weighs around 300g, and is 11
inches wide, that is ideal for the pole.

Oh right!! But how does the hose keep it up??

If you hold the hose against the bottom of the pole the pole can't collapse because the hose has nowhere to go.  The hose is too rigid to fold up inside the pole.

Sounds simple enough but in practise what is it like to use if you have to keep a grip on the hose?

Its dead easy, you have to hold the pole while using it, you just hold the tube at the same time.

I use a braided hose 10mm outside diameter, the same stuff I use as standard pole hose.

Hi Peter,
Probably won't remember me, I popped into your premises a few weeks ago at Broxburn looking for a fitting for outlet on DI vessel, For which you didn't even charge me for so thanks again for that.
I've been reading about your new pole over the past few days and i think i already have one its an 18ft fibreglass pole its only 5 months old, the top section has worn away the clamps have worn out and the only way to hold it up is by holding the hose at the bottom.Maybe this is where your inspiration came from, just winding you up mate.
On a more serious note judging by the videos you have posted i think you could be on to a winner, has anybody been using this pole for a couple of months and what sort of feedback have you had. What sizes are you looking to make.

A 24 foot for everyday use with some kind of extension to maybe 40 foot, and maybe a 60 foot pole.  I have to do some more tests thought to see what works best. 

Did I show you the pole when you were in?  If not come along and I will give you a demo.

I don't know if anyone on here has one yet but there is some feedback on the window-tools forum.

Have another look, The frames are being cleaned.  And even if they weren't, the video clip is to show people how the pole works and not how to clean a window frame.

hi Peter, like the idea, may well be interested in one.
This is'nt a knock at you, but whenever I see vids or pics of wfp's in use its always on easy windows of semi's lol 
The houses I cleaned today have georgian box bay windows, with shrubs in the garden so I'm not up close to them and have to angle the brush sideways from the pavement to get at them! how would your pole cope with work like that? would it suit that kind of work?
