Abbey don't charge as long as you stay within the limits.

I'm with Abbey and their business bank accounts are great. However, they only have Indian call centres and if you're anything like me and have trouble understanding them and they in tun have trouble understanding you then it's time for a change. I've nothing against Indian people, it's just the accent thing. If I'd known this before I would never have chosen the Abbey- it's not something they advertise. It may cost me a few extra quid with another bank but I'll save that in time alone in trying to explain something to someone in India who asks me to repeat myself time after time after time........BRING BACK GOOD OLD FASHIONED ENGLISH CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! Anyone else have this problem?

Good morning,
I started off with NatWest , the business Manager in my branch was very nice but that was the only good thing about them!
Switched to Abbey and it has worked OK so far.

Have used Abbey for a while now, no complaints and as has been pointed out they are charge-free so long as you dont exceed clearly stated limits.

Hi,

Started with Lloyds TSB (their online only account), which gave us 18months free Banking.  That expired last month, so we are now looking to swap again, so just shopping around.

Nothing particularly wrong with the LloydsTSB account, just don't want to start paying charges (especially as most of our custys are paying with cheques).

The location o fthe Lloyds branches locally is a pain as well (paying the cheques in), so the location of the new Bank will have a bearing on the decision too, for us.

CO-OP is free business banking, but you have to join Federation Of Small Businesses!! To join its about £100.00 but well worth it, lots of benifits!!

I'm with the co-op.  No charges ever and good rates too.  if you are a member of the FSB you can join.  I was with Lloyds but as soon as I could I changed.  I beleive they are evil.

I'm with Natwest, their crap, they only let you spend up to your agreed overdraft limit and expect you to wait in a queue when you go into the local branch to have an argument with them, what happened to customer service  ???
