Hi,   i bought a 20ft x-tel pole with a rectangular vikan brush from windowcleaning warehouse at the fed show for 120 quid.  Its very light but a bit bendy when its fully extended , i like the clamps on it

I would also go for the shorter sectioned ones,when extended the 2 sectioned shorter poles and longer sectioned ones look a bit bendy when fully extended.

Don't do it!!!

These are great poles. Light and short sections with great clamps  BUT I tried the 20ft one at the Fed show like wat Brett bought and I would say thats the limit of height you would want it at. It,s bendier than the old universal poles and they were monstrous to use at 30 ft.

Instead I bought one of the composite glass/carbon ones and it's great.

if i wanted one of these or was  going to buy one what size would i need for a 3 floor building?

because of gardiener im confused as to what they mean by 3rd storey and 4th story

Work on 26-30ft for 3 storey and 35-40ft for 4th

Jeff.  I hope you ordered the composite pole!!  If you did you wont regret it.

This thread is about the glass fibre only ones. I woudnt use the glass only ones at more than 20ft. Even then they do seem very whippy.

Alex. To be safe go for a 30ft pole. The one I have will do up to low 4th floor work but I use it on everything now. It collapses down to a very usable 5 ft. Its light and great for all day use. it is the COMPOSITE one though.  NOT the glass one.
