I Use a Battery from a Disabled persons Chair, you can get a top Sealed Battery from a dealer second hand for a 10er, new 22 quid. they are 12v with 10 to 12 Amps. Terry

Try 65 0r 85 amp leisure batteries they will last for upto 3 days mind you though purchace 2 so you can swap over whilst the other is being charged

I know Omnipole use 35 amp sealed batteries.  They did supply me with a spare one.

 Take a look at Maplins Web site.  They do all sorts of Sealed Lead Acid batteries.
The trick is to get a battery that will give you enough power for all day AND be light enogh to cart around on your trolly.
Bear in mind a 100psi pump can pull up to 7amps whist the 40 psi (in the Backpacks) only pulls up to 2.5 amps.
Now how I understand it is that a batteries Amphour AH rateing is how many hours at 1 amp draw the battery will last i.e. a 85 AH battery will last 85 hours drawing 1 amp.  Now if your pump draws say on average 5 amps then the 85 AH will last 17hrs.
Bear in mind you are not running the pump constantly, so, in a 7 hr working day you are probably only running your pump for 4 hrs (adding up all the 30 second spirts!).

The best person to ask about this is Jeff1.  Batteries were a big part of his old life!

John you need to tell us what size pump you are running? it would also help if you could tell us what trolley system you have? are you a strongish bloke? or a little shrimp like my self how many hours do you work? all this will help the guy's give you a decent answer to the psychical size and power out-put to your battery for a trolley system.

Dave has given you some good  figures to work on and the other guy's have given you some good sizes to work on. I personally use a 110 amp on a trailer system, but just for piece of mind, I also have 2-17 amp wheel chair batteries (just incase) never needed them yet, but you never know.

The Decision is optimally down to you, by collating all the above info and base your decision on what you feel is best for you.

thats the reason i allways recommend a smaller pump, uses less power and how many really need 100 psi ?? ? ?? not many i bet

this pumps plenty of water up my 18 foot pole but not tried the 40 footer yet
