why does pressure go down 20-30 bar

hi all
i was doing a job today and i noticed that when i first press the trigger the pressure is on 200 bar after a few seconds the pressure dropped 20-30 bar why is this

Hi Chris,
You probably have a pressure activated unloader. When you release the trigger,  the pressure spikes 10 to 15 percent over the operating pressure and then goes into bypass. Therefore, when you then squeeze the trigger, it spikes a higher pressure and then after seconds it returns to your operating pressure.

If the gauge is on a T fitting then it will read 10% lower when water is flowing down the main line. Funny that 10% of 200bar is 20!
I'm always in the poo, it's just the depth that varies
