Van contents insurance

Hi all,

Do any of you have your fixed wfp systems insured in your van? iv'e tried my insurance but they wont cover it.

A very good question Riz, we had a member that had their trailer stolen recently and it wasnt insured.

Sometimes the suppliers can advise you on good insurers, but I personally have not heard of a broker that does them.

As I understand it A WFP system is installed in the vehicle. You therefore have 2 choices

Choice 1 insure with vehicle this would be covered based on age etc just like van,

Choice 2 Insure under your business policy this can be new for old.

The kit I work with for bin cleaning has to be built from scratch I therefore use option 2 but my broker would have gone either way,

I am with Central Insurance Services in Aberdeen and policy is with RSA.

I cant see why WFP should be any different
