well my unger pole has had it
« on: April 16, 2007, 08:13:49 pm »
In Late Jan this year the no3 ( thinnest) pole snapped in half, ive carried on with the it til i get the fishing pole sorted

today, i got to my last job and couldnt pull the pole out of the base section, i tried and tried, i gave up in the end and came home, no matter how much i twsit and turn is wont budge

its lasted about 7 years ( last 3 as a wfp pole ), so thats not bad

just ordered a fishing pole and a cleantech own brand pole ( i needed to order a few more barrels for the summer months anyway)

RIP my old unger pole, its served me well

Matt,

I notice you've ordered a "Cleantech" pole?
Is it this one:

Hi Matt I was on holiday with your mate.
I got an unger mainly because of you and jeff, but it's far too heavy and I never use it.My main one has been a pulex but thats too heavy too.
The 15" excel downstairs pole that will do some upstairs was a revelation- the pipe was inside too-.
I've ordered a 24" facelift fibreglass, and if i'd had the guts would have gone Carbon fibre.

Probably you have on order an 18"excel and I expect it will be the best money you've ever spent. I admire your stance and enginuity but for me DIY hasn't been the best route. I  am even abondoning my trailer in favour of a sign written Van.

too be honest jeff, you give your opinion and we all try it, if some dont like it, they have spent 25 quid, big deal, different strokes for different folks :)

personally its good of you to share your "results" as it helps alot more
