Yes but it highlights a problem of control not membership and a license does not give membership just control.

TWC - how much is the charge for a license and what are the ground rules?

VGS,

It's simple we are for helping window cleaners that are legit and highlighting our industry, anyone can give cheep insurance . The licence is the best way to give window cleaners a good reputation and bring them in line with other trades.

Those who say anyone can window clean will now understand it is a skilled trade and hoepfully benefit the Scottish Industry, that is our aim.

And those English that cross the Scottish border watch out we are going to build the licence wall as Hadrians wall never did the job  ;D ;D

Coming from someone who is not Scottish  ;D

John L,

Check our website, I hope it explains it. We are using it to sell the licensed window cleaner to the public, in other words they will only request a licensed window cleaner. And yes we are doing the Councils job  ??? ???

You wud think it would make sense to have 1 licence that wud cover the WHOLE of Scotland or England or Ireland............

Even better why not have a UK licence that wud cover you the WHOLE of the UK!

taxi drivers take out one license and they can go anywhere

The old licenses covered taxi drivers for plying their trade ie pick up customers only in the council licensing district. You could not pick up outside this area. You can of course take a customer anywhere.
