go in and look smart, maybe a uniform?

and get some good buisness cards, and just ask, its not hard, "i work locally and was wonder do you have a window cleaner?"

if they answer yes, say, fair enough ... or be cheecky and say ... "would you like an alternative quote?"

if they have a good window cleaner then they will say no. if theyre not, bonus.

try to speak to someone in charge to, not teh counter teenager who doesnt know anything  ;)

I would say put a website up with the areas you would carry out commercial work and the services you give, about the same price as having a business card made and 1000 printed and people looking for commercial window cleaners in your area will find you do a search now and see what comes up.

having carried out commercial work for 30+ years our website brings in the most work ever.

Hope this helps have a look at our one at www.jvprice.co.uk cost about £500.00

How about making a large sandwich board, that says we are your local window
cleaner we are new, we are keen, try us . I would suggest that wearing the sandwich board whilst walking to work would attract lots of attention.

Hi Dave
These unusual marketing methods cost next to nothing to put in place.
And the work they bring in you would not belive.

I know , I can remember a story of a guy who stood with a sandwich board at a motorway service station asking for a job.

Then this company bigwig liked the guys get up and go , so stopped and gave him a job.

You could also absail down a building dressed as spiderman with a squeegie in your hand , I wonder who did that ?

would agree, doing anything that could bring in some work that cost you nothing is always a good plan.  Just got to be something that catches peoples eye doesn't need to cost a lot of money.

Cant go wrong with having your van say you carry out commercial work, then park it in and around your local commercial area so people keep seeing it and think you our carrying out work for there neighbours.

Look out for new premises going up - call on them and offer your services. If they haven't settled in call back a few weeks later.
It's a game of three halves!
