Just starting out WFP! Which system? Help please!...
« on: April 12, 2007, 04:24:54 pm »
Hi guys,

I am just starting out and am a bit confused over which company to use. I want either a trailer RO system or a van (berlingo or similar) with a system installed.

I have looked at this trailer system http://www.surecleansystems.com/proddetail.asp?prod=96

and this van mounted system http://www.surecleansystems.com/proddetail.asp?prod=6

and also looked at Brodex - http://www.brodexbms.co.uk/ecompact.htm

Whoever i chose, i need a fully installed system. I am looking at buying a Berlingo / Partner type van for upto 3k and can spend a further 2k on a WFP system

Can anyone make any suggestions, i just can't help but think a signwritten van will look more professional than a trailer towed by my Audi A3 turbo

I agree that a van system looks better than a trailer system, its easier to reverse for a starter, (you also need to think about below freezing conditions)although some might disagree. There are probably in excess of 15 companies out there so dont rush. Try to get to the fed show at blackpool, there will be one or two traders there.
It also depends on your customer base, is it domestic commercial or mixed ? This will sort out how much water to carry as it is HEAVY.

One on ebay may be of interest.

I'm in the middle of putting mine system together in a Citreon Dispatch. Spent the day putting  Protekta Kote on.

I've been reading and asking Q's on the forum for about 4 weeks and people have been very helpful. Ask plenty of Q's read plenty of past post and you will save quite a few quid by going down the D.I.Y route. It's pretty easy once you get to grips with it all.

Go for the van.

A trailer is OK but nowhere near as good as a decent van. Also the signwrting does make a big difference in peoples impressions of you.

I have an Ionics system myself but that will be way out of your price bracket. No offence intended.  I can highly recommend Pure Freedom for a fitted system or a DIY one though. A mate of mine recently had a fullly fitted system from them and I have bought some stuff from them and based on what my mate paid for his system I know that you will get a top notch system from them well within your budget.
