At last i have my set up working and for all the trad people who have douts i ust it 2day and was made up with the speed and results it gave me. Kanes your shoulders tho.
Dont argue with a retard, they will just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just remember first cleans you should be rinsing rinsing rinsing
to get the frames / windows up to scratch.
Surprised you werte that much quicker first time if you did this.
You will certainly feel the benefits after first couple of cleans if you do it this way.

I'm starting practicing this evening.
Starting properly on monday.

I'm just hoping I don't need to fill my 400L tank on first cleans.
I don't want to push it with the weight.
The payload of the van is enough, but that's based on it being new.

I'm a bit concerned when you say it's hard on your shoulders though. :-\
I'm just recovering from a shoulder injury, and got wfp to make work less strain. ::)

I bet Buiscute is using a fibre-glass pole; they're heavy; really heavy when trying to get access to some awkward windows.

And because he's just started using it, has loads of 'new cleans' (pure water new cleans), he's probably busting-a-gut ensuring he's doing a top job.  This is SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) when you start using a WFP.

You'll be okay with your Superlite; I promise; but I suggest you use it for a day, just to gain some experience, then spend a day with Ian_Giles to see how it should be done.

You're a bright bloke, I'm sure you'll do well with it.

How have you 'educated' your customers with regards to your transition?

Should be OK if you are using Gardiners superlight pole Rog.  One tip to ease things on your shoulders - though it may mean working a bit slower.  Try to take any strain on your legs rather than your arms.  Practice holding the pole against the glass and "rocking" back and forth allowing this to cause the pole to move up and down.  For taller windows this may mean taking a couple of steps back and forth.  I should do this more myself really too.  Even without an injury, your leg muscles are better equipped to deal with pole work than your arms.   It can resemble "Window Cleaners' Come Dancing" but will help you cope much better with any strain.

I used to find when I had time away from the wfp in my old firm then went back on them my arms and shoulders used to hurt foe the first couple of days then it went. Well unless the 50 foot BEAST came out then it was like a day down the gym

I just used my 12ft fibreglass extender on my house and didn't find too bad.
Then again, all day might be a different story.

I wasn't planning to keep on putting together and taking apart the carbon pole all day long.

Just waiting to see how spotty they've come up... ;D

Not right is it?

How have you 'educated' your customers with regards to your transition?
The only ones who know about wfp next time are the few jobs I've done this week.
That's the only work I've done since deciding on wfp, because I've been off for 5 weeks.
Everyone else is just going to get a surprise.  :o;D

Oh I'm going need them for some anyway.
I've got a few you couldn't pole.

Hey!
My windows are really good! (ish)
There's a couple of small runs, but then I've got filthy vents above them, so it's to be expected.

Other than that, they're mint!
First clean for months too, and the frames had never been done. :D

Oh, I'm really chuffed with that. :)

Well done Rog, you will start to get excited at first, but you will find that there are spots (you may miss them at first but the sun wont) and only find out a few days or weeks down the road. It will happen and you will be dissapointed but....... with experience you will get there good luck and now I and your missus know you aint going to fall off. I wish you all the very best. It was hard for us watching you resisting.
What will you do with the extra days off in the month  :o
