« on: March 28, 2007, 06:58:26 pm »
Walking to shops yesterday spotted this mad man!
I walked past then had to take a second look, on a glass roof and stretching, what was he thinking, obviously not death!

He's missed the window.
Seems to be buffing the bricks.

If it was me I'd be stomping around on that roof doing a lovely job.

Why bother with all that BotoPhucket lark?
Why can't someone just empty the site's folder a bit?

This does'nt just go for this pic btw but there seems to have been a trend here of late taking pics then slagging the so called 'cowboy' off.

Atleast squeaks and a few others on here are honest enough to say they've taken risks like that in the past

any trad cleaners on here will know the temptation to stretch that little bit more than move the ladder and do another climb, and many I'm sure have learnt the lesson the hard way.

how did the majority of windows get cleaned 20 years ago and even further back? risk taking
Times have changed, H&S , ladders at hight regs , wfp etc.

Is it only members of forums like this that deserve some friendly advice?
Hey the guys in the pics may just tell you to sod off and mind your own business, then again they may  be new to it and appreciate concern and advice or a website to look at.
I'm just a bit fed up with the constant bashing.
No one wants to read of another fatal accident or loss of earnings due to a severe fall.

I seen a guy that used to clean the big victorian houses around our town. I seen him one day climbing off the top of the ladder on the second floor into the recessed window ledge. So I went over and had a chat with him and he was a friendly guy. I found out he hadn't been doing it long and his friend had give him a few days training and then rented him the round. So I recommended him not to leave the top of a ladder at that height unless it was safe to do so. Anyway I was visiting my Nan in hospital a few months later and who should I see but the same guy in a wheel chair leg in bits. I felt really sorry for him.

Wish he had listened to my pounds worth of free advice.
