I don't think anyone sells retail quantities of blocks of teflon, but if its glides of sliders you are after try solutionsuk

If you are talking Teflon Protectors, as far as I'm aware, they don't market them themselves, but allow specialist manufacturers to use their raw materials to produce carpet/fabric protectors with Teflon. I believe that to use the Teflon name, strict standards have to be maintained.

From the past, I know that some Prochem products used Teflon, but I don't know if they still do.

I have noticed that some (fast trackers mostly) advertise Teflon protectors, what product are they using then?

I was always led to believe that DuPont didn't endorse the use of the Teflon brand name at all.

Well I use Craftex and they sell one that comes with a glossy brochure with Du Pont Teflon plastered all over it. And I may say it seems to sell itself.

Just down play the picture of a huge bubble of red wine sitting on top of a carpet.

Anything to do with Fastrack is usually pro-mite

I was a Fastracker and I sold (still sell) promite for allergies and protection. However I sell Teflon protector too (both water and solvent of course) as it is a brand name that people respond to. So I give them the choice.

They do nice leaflets too

I havent tested the efectivnes of one against the other but the craftex one looks like water compared to the pro-mite

The pro-mite is much thicker

Hi Red,

The 'thickness' is irrelevant as PTFE in water , which is what these things are would be low viscosity.

Viscosity is adjudsted using celluloses, starches etc

I was talking to a prominent chemical manufacturer last month who told me a lot of companies introduce a thickening agent into their products to give the illusion that the product is more 'concentrated'
