Anyone dry or LM only ?
« on: March 23, 2007, 08:15:50 pm »
Colleagues

Just to gauge the situation, is there anyone who only operates (or virtually always operates) with a dry or LM carpet cleaning system ?  I realise that these methods are often a bolt-on to HWE when the latter is either risky or unnecessary, however I'm seriously considering the issue, since whilst I enjoy CCing, I might prefer a dry of LM add-on to a separate business possibility.

Regards

Pete (JS2)

And me, the customers love being able to use their carpets straight after cleaning. I don't charge any more for it, just give them extra value for money.

Virtually all of my commercial work is LM.

Residential is HWE but using LM & VLM as problem solvers.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi,

Which types of LM methods are you all using then?

Cheers,

Well, quite a swift response to my enquiry and very positive.  I will now explore dry methods more seriously, with particular focus on the Envirodri.

I support Huw's request for an indication to what systems are being used.

Many thanks

I offer Dry cleaning (Using the envirosri machine) to many domestic customers who are wary of the drying time with HWE, approx 10% go for it.
Doing the best job in the world as well as I can

Hi

Yep me too.

Been solely dry since I started 3 1/2 years ago, never used HWE.

We have just started stocking the Enviro Dry system. Having dabbled with various "dry" granules in the past, mainly on Belgians, I must say I was knocked out using the Enviro Dry. We have a peice of Wool twist in the showroom for people to try out bits of kit. We dirty this up with a jar of mud and crud which is wiped onto the carpet and tread in. This is then left to dry in. Using the pre-spray and granules the dirt was all but gone in seconds. I was surprised to say the least.
There are franchises who only use dry cleaning (no not Chem Dry) and they tend to charge a premium price.

I've got a Little Red Fire Engine from those very nice people @ Dry Fusion and Envirodri.

I've also got a rotary machine which I can use for generic bonneting and encapsulation should the mood take me.

But the mood doesn't take me ;)

Safe and happy (low moisture) cleaning :)
