My 18' Ionics is still going.  18 months now!  The base section is still very good, top two sections very powdery, but fine, I do just wax them every now and then.
I do take care of things generally, though.

Was looking for a new pole myself but did'nt want to spend loads on something
off internet.

Went into B&Q for decorating bits and bobs and stumbled across 5m telescopic
poles for attaching paint rollers.Attached my WFP head and Bobs yer uncle.

Bought one and it works great! £14.99 bargain had it 3 months!  ;)

Can't go wrong at that price eh!!  ;D

Try one of these

www.cleantech.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_36&products_id=215

I've had mine a year now and still going strong.
Its fallen over extended several times (you'd have thought I learned the lesson!!) :o :o
Been swung around like a bandleaders batton :o :o

All you have to do is get an Unger brush adapter
www.cleantech.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_36&products_id=35
then an angle joint
www.cleantech.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_55&products_id=326
Screw your brush on.
Then either:
Run your tube along the outside, or.
Drill a hole in the side of the top section at the top and a hole in the end of the handle and run your tube through the pole.

For about £50 you have a jolly good 18' pole and brush ;) ;)
