Ultimate Master is a very good powder, no doubt about that, but I have found since changing over mostly to microsplitters and m power thus using a fresh water rinse only, pumps are just going on and on. When I was using mostly powders six months would be considered a very long life for any pump.
I do suspect powders of any kind shorten pump life.

My last pump packed in after 14 months, but due to brush failiure not the head ( was lazy and didn`t change them at recommended service interval ). Pump heads will give up with powders if they`re not mixed properly. You gotta make sure that all the powder has dissovled other wise it will go grit like which in turn wears out the pumps seals. I mix my powder in a bucket of hand hot water then drop it in the tank

I have micro splitters from craftex, solutions and one step and i dont rate them compared to chemspec, prochem or altec ! you have to do a lot more work with rthem to get the reults that you would get from conventional chemicals like the ones Ive mentioned !

i've used u/m at 65, and it works well, you got to remember when the solution goes through the system to the jets, it will have dropped abit in heat. i've spoken to alltec about this & they more or less said that a couple of degrees here or there would'nt make much difference, but it is designed to work at the specified temp. regards char........

Just gone back to using Ultimate master after using a tub of Prochems Fibre Safe.

Never realised how good UM was until i used something else.

I am just about to test Ultimate master. sound good.

I also want to do a residue test between, UM, Formula 90, and one of ashbys, need a very small sample of ashbys, called and asked for a sample and they said no. so if anyone can send me some to make up a 10lt bucket full please.

i will publish results with photos on here
