Dose anyone know where I can get one of these? I sam one a couple of months ago but didn't need it then, now I need one I can't remember where I saw it.

It is for the brush to adapt 6mm hose to 4mm jet hoses.

Thanks

Hi Gaz,

I need two. I have two converted salmon brushes from Peter Fogwell, but they have the metal conectors which the tubes push into. Now they are quite old and leak all the way down the pole. I want the y connectors I mentioned as they will push into the tube instead and should make a watertight fit.

Am I right in this?

the tubing needs to be a soft tubing otherwise you wont get a nice fit - if its the rigid plastic then you need a 6mm speedfit t-piece.

it is the rigid 4mm tubing that's normally used in RO systems.

Could I soften it with boiling water , push the fitting on and then cool it in cold water to harden the tube again?

The Jets are 4mm fitting that the hose pushes into.

No mate it won't work - a much easier way is to leave about an inch of the rigid pipe sticking out from the jets, push some 5mm pole tubing over it and push this into a normal 6mm t-piece.  No clamps needed, no extra fittings, nothing.  The tubingthat peter uses is 4mm inside and 6mm outside so its a nice tight fit into the pole tubing - the 5mm pole tubing then fits nice and tightly over the 6mm t-piece.

Takes 2 mins to do and costs sweet nothing.
