I don't think I'd be  able to give a price to be honest, if they want that work done then be up front and charge them a day rate.

Initial cleaning leaded windows is no joke.

I'd avoid it like the plague if it was me, and I'd not like to tell a customer just how much I'd have to charge for a day rate.

For me, being all WFP, I tell customers that I no longer work off ladders (and yes..I use that as an excuse!)

It'll be a horrid job so charge for it.  If you think it'll take you a day put your day rate down or if 4 hrs put the hourly figure down.  If you get done faster you can always knock a little off.  Say you have to charge extra for the ladder work as well.  It would be worth doing it to get the job if you want it.

If you wanted the job I would agree a decent hourly rate and make sure they sign a disclaimer.

You'd have to be very careful cleaning those windows!
Lots of 'soapy' water to take the paint & render off-but you'd have to qualify with the customer-mate or not about any scratches-render can scratch the glass as it hits the panes,good rinse down-don't leave any particles behind in case you scratch the glass-any bloom can be removed with good old fashioned vinegar, then you have to scrim it down to clean the glass-very labour intensive work.
