Patio Cleaning the Easy Way
« on: February 19, 2007, 04:22:34 pm »
It must be getting near spring as everyone is talking Patio's all of a sudden.

I've had a call from a customer I've done work for before. She would like me to clean 3 patio areas around her house that have got the old 'Algae' problem. in the past I have used the trusted pressure Washer but she is concerned that some of the grout gets loosened, (that's mainly because it's very old and crumbly) ::)

I have tried the numerous Patio and Path cleaners with a deck broom in the past, but never thought the results were much to write home about.....and it's pretty back breaking to boot  :P

Any suggestions please ?

P.S. One area is cobbled stones and another is very small in a little courtyard at the back of the house. Got everything going for it  ;D

Les,

Algae will keep returning unless you spray a biocide and sealer after you clean.

go to www.mgcltd.co.uk and look for products called `LICHENITE` and  `HALOSEAL` ;)
