RO TDS when new
« on: February 18, 2007, 12:56:40 pm »
I changed the filters, membranes & DI resin this morning in an RO-Man RO 300 that I haven't used for a while. It's at home & I'm in my office, but when I left it the TDS before the resin was about 100. My tap water is hard. Does it take a while to settle?. Will it be ok when I get home, or do I have another problem?. If so, what?

Yes, you should allow the unit to run about 2 Hours
before the TDS comes down.
If possible it would have been more economical to connect the
DI when the TDS Values have come down to the value you usually get,
as you arent using this water yet are you ?

Thank you Terry. I'm off home now to check. I'm not as yet running the water throught the DI as I appreciate that as I left it, it will just eat the resin up.
