Protect your Vechicle and Wfp Equipment
« on: February 15, 2007, 11:02:20 pm »
With the rising numbers of window cleaners using wfp systems the damage and lose of income that can happen when some thief takes a liking your equipment or vechicle can be devastating.

I found on the Internet something that should help you recover your property fast.

For the small cost it could be of benefit to you.

Maybe this topic could be locked for easy access to cleaners

There are a few less accurate tracking systems available as well, the cheapest to set up and use is to register a pre pay sim card in an old mobile phone and hide it in your van, there are web sites that can trace your mobile once registered with them, this system uses the mobile network to see what cells the mobile is transmitting from to work out an approx position.

The problem with these systems is they are too vague on where the signal is coming from, it better to pay that little bit more on something that can track your equipment to within a couple of metres.

Yes true but not everyone can afford to have a £200 quid tracker fitted, im just saying that this  is a really cheap alternative, old mobile, sim card and 10 quid to register and do 10 traces or so. £25 would set all up i supose.
Not as acurate yes but takes you to the area near enough to inform the police and have a scout about.
