Sorry I should add also more importantly about friction loss, as velocity increases friction loss increases so with 1.5" hose the velocity is nearly twice that than a 2" hose, so as friction loss goes up with velocity there is only half the vacume with a 1.5" compared to a 2" hose so 2.5" is also better to reduce friction loss.
