changing resin

The times come to change my resin, I have an 11 ltr vessel. Not having done it before is there anything I should know? e.g. when I refill do I fill right to top? do I compact it? because when I emptied it, it was only about a third full, the rest was water.
Any advice appreciated , cheers.

And wear a pair of shades because it is a pain if you get it in the eye.
