polymer render?
« on: January 27, 2007, 04:17:49 pm »
One of the houses which i clean, has had testa teres rendering done a couple of years ago, when i first got the job, i noticed a couple of runs on the panes when i was pricing up, i thought these were the remnants of an egging attack. But actually it is the polymer part  of the render that has run down off the wall onto the glass and then cured.

I have scraped 60% of this off with a 5 inch champion scraper, but there is still some left on the glass that simply wont budge.

Does anyone know of anything that will take this off the glass, and where i can get it from?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Jason, i do builders cleans and quite a few have rendering on the glass/ frames and i find that if you soak it with a solvent upvc cleaner it usually comes off quite easy.

I used to use one from screwfix but their just for some reason stopped selling it, you should however be able to get some from your local building suppliers.

Hope this helps a little.
