Part of using a wfp is allowing the pole to slide up and down thruogh one of your hands. As far as I can see this contraption will only ever hinder you in your work.

What we do to keep our hose tidy is buy one of those velcro loops that are used for cable tidying etc, (the ones with the ability to thread through themselves) attach this to the hose just above the Protecta-Ball or connector and when you reel up your hose just wrap this round to keep it tidy.

£17 for a strip of metal and two strips of velcro?

Have a word with yourself, will you!

Has anyone bought their Pole Flow Control Valve (that's an On/Off switch to you and me) at £33?

I'm off for a lie down  >:(

Blimey guys :o

whatever happened to trying a product out before condeming it theres been no negative feedback on these products as yet, do you believe you get what you pay for ;D

But ofcourse everyones entitled to their opinion not being much of a diy man myself :-[ i tend to buy straight off the shelf

Then if we picked at all the suppliers on this forum regarding prices quality and service it would become very messy, interesting and then probably locked :'(

I would like to see a section on this forum where suppliers could sell to us, i know there is one or two on here that dont even advertise but these products are what we may need.  It would also be good to see the smaller suppliers and diy equpment etc at the shows but its just too expensive for them
I do know advertising is not alowed on the forum ;) its just my opinion
cheers
Brett

Well said Brett
So true no one yet has bought one and passed any comment and yet its being condemed, the reason I was looking for something was that my pole carrier is narrow, and to put it away safely,I have to velcro the hose to the pole just to allow it to slide easily into the carrier. I'm not to bad on the DIY side of things, but some guy's are more than useless, so having a ready made product for the job suits them, ok you have to pay a little more, but wages have to be paid and profit made.

I also agree on the advertising sections, if more suppliers were allowed to freely advertise and put there prices up I'm sure there sales would increase and maybe prices would come down to a more affordable level.
On the academy no restrictions are placed upon suppliers and we already have suppliers freely putting there goods on including prices, it saves us all asking, HOW MUCH is it, and have to wait for an email from them.

this is a touchy area though, as forums will allways favour certain suppliers ( its not unheard of for the mods to get sweeteners and discounts ) so reviews and the like cannot be " fair "

Were are they Matt ;D ;D I want some ;D
I just spent £1000 and never got a discount  ::) and like you I'm admin, don't you think they would give it to admin rather than mods?
But I do believe in letting the supplier advertise, just like our supermarkets by doing this it will help bring the prices down, a little Competition  hurts no one, and we all benefit then.

Hi matt

if we get some positive feedback on it and it would come in handy for my business, yes then i would buy one if i needed it but i think its sometimes unfair to judge something without any feedback.  Although it is quite easy to comment if it doesnt look worth the money but this could affect the suppliers reputation with out relevant feedback as it may not be suited for everyone.
Im all for naming and shameing those that sell bad products and we both know theres some companies out there that charge extortinate prices ;)

Brett.

Then email me  ;D I love freebies  ;D ;D

No I know what you mean Matt. we give them a free range, so long as they realise they get judged by the end user and thats us. if it got out of hand I would put a stop to it and make them do there arguments via email, because mods and admin staff can be held liable for slander, even on a forum, this is why I point it out in our rule section.
