gloves

anyone got any recommendations for good value gloves with good mobility, warmth and waterproofing?

the ones for cyclists, try outdoor gear shop.  They're showerproof not waterproof, but very warm, comfortable and fairly easy to work in.  They'll cost you though!  About £25 - £30 and they only last 1 winter.

Sealskins .... Brill had some for  christmas, and used them once , when it was a bit  chilly , hands  stayed  warm as toast.

I use omnipoles fur lined beauties.  £23 a pair and they are quite bulky but once you get used to them they are tops.  Easy to get off & on  and so warm. 
They do make you look like you are about to handle some radio active material as the are really industrial looking but who cares when your fingers are toastie.  I have only had to wear them once since buying them last december so hurry up with the frosts I say.

Unger launched new gloves for 2007, updated model, seems to be much much better for wfp. Don't have them yet, but they could be very good.

yeah i have tried the new unger neoprene gloves from the same place. The stitching on them is much better than the old ones so they dont split so easily.
