PRICING COMMENTS
« on: January 11, 2007, 07:25:47 pm »
Good evening all
I have been asked to quote for a major retail to do 6 hours cleaning per evening on one or two nights per week.  The company are going to supply all materials and equipment.  I am quoting £75.00 per visit do you think this a good price?

Any comments would be gratefully received from all you cleaning out there that clean offices and shops on a regular bases.

Many thanks for any thoughts inadvance.

Julia

Is there nobody out there willing to comment on my price just to help me out.
This is a relatively new field for me so I do feel out of my depth a bit, so any help would be gratefully received.  I can see that people have read the message but no comments as yet.  PLEASE HELP ME.
Many thanks
Julia

Hi
Thank you for your input, I am very grateful.  This is causing me some dilema as dont want to pitch too high and not get the work.
Thanks once again.

Julia, put this in the general cleaning section and you may get a better response. This section is part of the carpet cleaning one.

Hi Julia,

Your profile does not say where your from and from my experience with this sort of question it can depend on location!Your price is very fair and if your happy with that then go for it? Obviously this is a new field for you and if in time you have priced a little out then so be it but the experience you will gain from this will be in valuable.

Regards Rob.

Hi Julia
we are cleaning a big estate agency regularly 3 times per week for 2.5 hours. We charge them £40 per visit and we supply the materials. Not long ago we quoted a job again big office with big warehouse behind for £50 per visit (materials from us) and we didn't get the job  :'( so you do not know really. I think you have to try... your price is good if is for 6 hours.

Hi Julia, May or may not help, but if you scroll through the questions in general cleaning there is a survey that I started a couple of weeks ago which people have completed re Hourly charge out rate, its very general, but does give you a vague idea. Hope this helps. Os
