CFR Handtools - problems?
« on: January 10, 2007, 04:55:00 pm »
Ive recently gone down the CFR handtool route after using Kleenrite for a few years. I quite liked the idea of dryer material etc.

The problem is because there is such a long distance from the trigger to the point of contact, my hand severely aches like mad >:( Is this due to the fact I am applying too much pressure, and dont need to with CFR? If I try to relax my grip a bit and do it lightly, I feel that its not going to give me as good a clean :-\

Anyone else experienced this?

You're not using it correctly from your description. You want to lift the fabric off the cushioning using the available suction and the tool does the rest. Get yourself a an embroidery hoop and stretch a piece of fabric across it for practicing purposes and then to show clients how your system works (see the video clip on the american website, I think it's cfrcorp.com)
Alternatively get yourself a drimaster handtool as well if you can stretch the the sub £400 price tag :o. I use both and each are special in different ways.

I have to say that my first experience with the CFR handtool was exactly the same .... After a while I tried again and after a few times using it I now find it almost an extension of my hand...easy to use... dries the fabric well...I don't get wet with overspray  ::) and I have the versitility of being able to change the jet sizes.

You have an excellent piece of kit stick with it

Derek only gets wet with incontinence, not with his CFR tools!

Is everybody kidding :o   these tools are the C.Jones ;D

Binned my other handtools! Does anyone want to buy a twin jet s/s and a 3 jet s/s wand? Never used them since I went CFR last spring.
