A good truck mount wand?
« on: January 07, 2007, 07:40:57 pm »
Hello,

can anyone recommend a good wand for use with my truckmount ?

At the moment I am using a standard twin jet , stainless steel type.

I fancy a 4 jet, possible 2 inch bore, not sure.

I sometimes use a glide, (probably about 70% of time with glide). I have "cut" my current wand, to allow me to easily get a glide on and off, which I think is ace !

Price needs to be under £400 ( if new).

What do you use and are you pleased with it?

regards
Chris

Hi

Shaun Ashmore uses a 2" Westpack Wand & A CFR Wonder Wand with a Boxer he would be the man to talk to.

I've got the bigger jets for the CFR and it cleans quicker and dries faster. I do use my westpak on rugs sometimes as it has a glide and doesn't get locked down on them.

I have 3 wands on my van the other being a 1.5" 2 jet 'girly wand' (as D.Ingram calls it)

Hi Shaun
with regard to the wespak wand I have read about them being no good without a glide and having poor valves ?
What is your experience of them?
regards
Chris

ps  I have also read that these problems have been sorted on later model westpak wands, but this info came from a distributor  ;)

You'll need a glide on any 2" bore wand, but it works well with a westpak as the jets are too close to the carpet and leave streaks without a glide (I use a slotted from Greenie) the valves is excellent but I would recommend that you get a solution line filter added as the jets can block up easy.

I did get a spam email from Joe Bristow selling Westpak 2"bore with a 12" head (ooer) I would buy that one personally.

PS Drying time is brilliant, but not as good as my wonderwand!ha ha ha ha ha
