NOT CC    In The Beginning
« on: July 03, 2004, 04:24:16 am »
It's very difficult to know what one is allowed to post on forums overseas.

Some things very acceptable down under may inflame sensitivities overseas.

I hope this is okay.

The Creation - An Australian Perspective

In the beginning God created day and night.  He created day for footy
matches, going to the beach and barbies.  He created night for going
prawning, sleeping and barbies.  God saw that it was good.  Evening came
and morning came and it was the Second Day.

On the Second Day God created water - for surfing, swimming and barbies on
the beach.  God saw that it was good.  Evening came and morning came and
it was the Third Day.

On the Third Day God created the earth to bring forth plants - to provide
tobacco, malt and yeast for beer and wood for barbies.  God saw that it
was good.  Evening came and morning came and it was the Fourth Day.

On the Fourth Day God created animals and crustaceans for chops, sausages,
steak and prawns for barbies.  God saw that it was good.  Evening came and
morning came and it was the Fifth Day.

On the Fifth Day God created a bloke - to go to the footy, enjoy the
beach, drink the beer and eat the meat and prawns at barbies.  God saw
that it was good. Evening came and morning came and it was the Sixth Day.

On the Sixth Day God saw that this bloke was lonely and needed someone to
go to the footy, surf, drink beer, eat and stand around the barbie with.
So God created mates, and God saw that they were good blokes.  God saw
that it was good.  Evening came and morning came and it was the Seventh
Day.

On the Seventh Day God looked around at the twinkling barbie fires, heard
the hiss of opening beer cans and the raucous laughter of all the blokes,
smelled the aroma of grilled chops and sizzling prawns and God saw that it
was good...well almost good.  God saw that the blokes were tired and
needed a rest.

So God created Sheilas - to clean the house, bear children, wash, cook and
clean the barbie.  God saw that it was not just good, it was better than
that, it was bloody good.

IT WAS AUSTRALIA!!

Your welcome mate, hope your day gets better.

If I can put a smile on one persons face each day, I'm happy.

Shortgrinmakingwun,

May the smile travel the rest of the way round the globe and come back to you.

Being a 'sheila' I am deeply offended by this post.    >:(

Only joking mate ;) Made me laugh  ;D

All us women should be bare foot with access to two rooms only - kitchen and bedroom lol!
Beats dealing with customers anyday! ;D ;D

Hi Guys,

Not sure if I'll get red carded for this but here goes,

The good news - Saddam Hussein has been given the death penalty
The bad news - David Beckam is going to take it!

Cheers,

G'day Les,
the hats with the corks all come from West Oz mate.
It's because of all those flamin' little black bush flies.
People everywhere, walking up and down the street waving their hand in front of their face, shooing the blighters away.
It's affectionately known as the W.A. salute.

There's no flies on us, up in the tropics.
The skeeters chase them away.

Hi Ivar,
Flot & Jet came down under.
Uncle Sam & Auntie Sam both went to the 'states.

Hi Foxiewun,
I couldn't agree with you more :P
At my age, most all I seem to do is eat and sleep.

Cheers,

Shortwun.  ;D  ;D

Shorty,

Now that's a 'C_ock and Bull'* story if ever I heard one  ;D

Try telling that to the blokes down at the pub.   ;)
