Stopped using hozleck connectors for that reason (CR@P) i use brass airline/water connectors,only ever had to change 1 in 18 months,Gaz

We changed ours over to Air hose connections, heavier but you can run over them and they will still work.

I was using 2 or 3 a week (Hozelock)

Pro, not auto but i log into an account on the net, write one single text, tick which customers to send to then send, takes 5 mins to do! i can schedule texts to go out as well but i do it every night if need be as you don't know what the weather will be like

Gaz, i did have airline fittings on mine but when they were getting worn it was easier replacing with hozelock (as in a previous post about my DI vessel) but i think when i build a new system in May i will probably get all them fittings again.

Steve there are many different makes of airline/water connectors,i use quality ones,the same as Brodex use,brilliant,Gaz

we use pro fittings from gardiners but you still need a hozelock fitting for the centre of your hosereel.
and no matter what i do the flaming things leak.

I use a Claber connector on the hose reel before the microbore,no leaks,Gaz

  I use the cheap ones from the pound shop and wrap them in insulating tape, they last until the insides wear out, the tape takes the shocks and holds them together if you do manage to break them

You don't need to change the complete hoselock fitting - just replace the 'rubber' washer on the hosereel instead, because:
 1. it's cheaper &
 2. that's the main reason why it leaks so frequently.

"Be smart/cool (earn some respect) & use a new 'rubber' like the government's new campaign aimed at youngsters when it comes to safer sex and think of it as safer, 'leak free' window cleaning instead

First thing I did was to change the o-ring then the female fitting but like paul says it still keeps dripping

No pic sorry  ,WHAT! Gaz with no pic to show lol,it`s on my hose reel coverd with 100m of microbore so not too easy to just take a pic,
Basically it is a Hozelock type connector but made by Claber but much better quality(well in my opinion anyway)
