Simple Question?
« on: December 23, 2006, 07:15:38 pm »
.

I voted under because thats what I have allways done. I thought there was less chance of getting tangled round the outside axle, but tonight I had a brain wave after thinking it over briefly I now realise there is no diffrence, and it is actually probably safer to reel back over the reel.

Am I right?

It is a simple question, and pointless to some. But what is best?

Maybe with open reels it depends if your left/rt handed.
I am (Rth) under because thats the way a covered hosebox works

over the top, it's easier I think, though somtimes I go under, depends whether I'm working directly out of the back doors of the van, or out of the side door on the van.

Winding it in is easier over the top, it is easier to guide the hose from side to side that way and if you have the good quality steel hose reels you can wind in 100m of normal tricoflex very quickly indeed (even easier with microbore no doubt).
