I was wondering how many houses you could do with just 20 - 25ltrs of water. Do you do just upstairs or downstairs as well? Just trying to help a friend who wants to make his own trolley system and wants to see if it is worth it.

If hes making it from scratch then invest in an on/off valve in tube and 60 psi flowjet pump or varistream.
Then water might go a bit further.

use a smaller pump as marcus said, 60 psi is plenty

Smaller jets means less water.

lower pressure does not mean less flow - get a varistream and use either a 60 psi/75psi/100psi pump, I keep hearing people on this forum say 100psi is for 2 reels/2 operators etc etc - its nothing to do with that, flow is much more important, ok so using microbore etc will create some backpressure, in which case a 100psi pump will help deliver a little more flow than a 60psi pump will, but on the whole the output is more dependant on the pumps flow rate and what position the varistream dial is set to.

You don't need 100psi but get a good length of microbore and some push connectors because its a lot easier to run out a hose than it is to keep dragging the trolly around. Also a variflow and an in line on off tap will save lots of water. Hose and connectors from Varitech 01752 263333
