I use 100m of yellow 6mm id minibore off a metal hose reel straight out of the van.

Can't fault the stuff!

We find that the flow rate from a reel of microbore (6mm ID) is just about spot on.

hhmmm, how many of you guys have actually used minibore?  personally i have used microbore for about 2 years and then changed to minibore for the last 6 months - will I change back, no.  Better flow over 100m putting a lot less stress on the pump, however I never had a problem with microbore but would still rather stick with the 8mm.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, i'm swaying again, 6mm or 8mm?
if you look on cleantech website they sell 8mm minibore, but the way they describe it, it's like people have been having problems with 6mm, so this is the answer, just what you've been looking for etc.etc.

any more minibore users out there?? ??? ??? ???

still, thanks for all replies so far guys :)

hi i use 8mm microbore which i assume is similar to minibore works well used to use microbore 6mm which worked fine too so i don't think their is a great deal of difference but i think its up to the individual users preference?   ::);D ;D

i did notice the pump does not seem to struggle quite as much with the sightly wider bore though i did have a job  getting 100m of the 8mm pipe on the reel but once it broke in it was fine prefer using it now ;D

I've recently converted to 100m of 8mm minibore.  No problems at all, haven't had to make any adjustments to the varistream.

I bought 100m microbore and varistream with a 100psi pump,
I haven't used it yet but have been reading this post with interest.

hi

Changed to minibore from Hozelock 1/2" professional a month ago and will never go back to the larger diamt hose. Went for minibore because it puts the pump under less strain I was told by the experts.

It has easily saved me half an hour a day of messing around with the other stuff tangling up - its much easier to pull out and wind up.
100 metres goes on a hose reel  - it's expensive but just do it.
Would recommend it everytime.
