Vinegar on Windows is something my Grandma always used and when my Grandad was to old to do the windows after the first couple of months using a W/C she actually told him the glass wasnt as clear as when Grandad did it and only made him use Vinegar lol.

Dishwasher rinse aid with your normal solution. Been using it for ages now.
Brillant if you use an all in one tool like the Wagtail combi or Backflip. Dai

i always use fairy and vinegar, the knack is getting the mix right. in summer use more vinegar i find. TOSH always knocks me for swearing by vinegar, but works for me.
Each to their own though, as long as the window sparkles and the customer is happy too!

Using rince aid means very little suds, nothing to blow back over the top on windy days. Less suds means less water on the glass. The water seems to go on in a film. It really cleans the glass, and I find cuts down on detailing. Try some with a cheap washing liquid, it's not expensive. Dai

Have any of you 1940's throwbacks ever used professional detergent like "Glimmer Clean" or "Squegee Off"?

If you had you would see the benefits from day 1.  ;)
