OCS Website, bit of a cheek

OCS does not sub-contract ensuring high quality and safety.

Bit of tongue and cheek that quote, you could take it the wrong way round. Any window cleaner other than an OCS window cleaner does not do a good job. So
us genuine guys cannot come up to the standard of OCS.

Lets see, how deaths have they on their consceince. If someone has a car crash which resulted in a death then they are banned. Likewise OCS should be banned from window cleaning because of their poor health standards.

I have just sent this email - lets see what, if anything they reply back with?

you state on your window cleaning page that you don't subcontract work, ensuring that you receive both a high quality of service delivering combined with the safest methods of working and cleaning expertise.

I resect you as a company but feel this statement is damning to sub-contractors emplying that we are not safe nor are our standards high!!!

Recent article published 26th June 2006 - City Of London News

When OCS Ltd., a major national cleaning company, pleaded guilty this month at Southwark Crown court to five charges of breaching health & safety law, they brought to an end a complex investigation arising out a near-fatal fall from height accident in August 2003.

OCS Ltd. were today fined a total of £40,000 with £54,190 costs with one count of failing to provide suitable and sufficient training to their employees attracting a fine of £35,000 on its own.

Perhaps you should look closer to home before insinuating sub-contractors are not up to scratch?

I look forward to your reply?

Thing is, many window cleaning contracts have been suby down so many times that the customer or the main contract does not know who is turning up and if the RA has been in place and if safe practises of work is being employed

BUT do agree they don't have a good safe record with the death of one of there window cleaner this year

It looks like a lesson in how to reply without saying anything.  Looks like they're in for a lengthy suspension to me.
