does anybody clean micro suede?
Any help / tips / advice would be appreciated?

Is it similar to buffalo? If so, I know the guidelines, but I'm still wary about cleaning.

Are you refering to nubuck or a name for a man made imitation fibre?

Micro suede usually refers to a man made fabric like buffalo, alcantara etc

Micro suede are dead easy to clean if you are careful, but it one of those cleaning job were you will continuely worry all the way through.
Also brush the pile, try and dry quickly (use a blower), and if you use a solvent spotter, check first somewhere on suite where it will not be seen. Some micro suede react badly to solvents, ie the pile falls out and you have a bald patch. Use a water based solvent equilavent like zap-it.

microsuede or fauxsuede as it is also known is usually 100% polyester pop into Next and you will see lots of their furniture is made of this material.

Its easy to clean but as mentioned don't go too heavy with solvents.

I would clean using MS such as No4 or M-Power.

Pre-vac, spray apply one of the above,  agitate in with micro-fibre mit or mechanical devise such as Mini -Tex, allow 10 minute dwell time (if M-Power is used allow 15-20 mins) HWE off.

Be careful with brass couplings on hoses becoming to hot and coming into contact with material, this will leave an impression on the item being cleaned which you will struggle to remove.

You can speed dry with airmovers if required.

Same as Trevors advice above. These sythnetic fibre suites are staright forward to clean.Always check for any delamination and as Trevor advises go easy with any solvent based chems as they can cause delamination.
These type of suites are also called Buffalo leather as they look like Buffalo leather when wet,also advise the customer that they look horrible when wet.But once dry ( normally quite quick) they look great,always towel the nap after extraction.

I've used h/w/e on some of these suites with no problems and very quick drying times, it's one of few I've ever felt the need to set the pile on.

I clean one every 3 months and got the best result from a chrystalising shampoo via the Von Shrader machine

As mentioned, some of the heavier grained, I think they're pressed, are more likely to delaminate.

Thanks very much to everybody that has emailed in with advice, it is much appreciated.
I wasn't planning on using solvents and I will be using a fan to dry as quickly as possible.
I'm going to take a cushion away and thoroughly test before completing the whole job.
