Perhaps we should have another sunny day out to compare all the latest portys and equipment, chemicals etc and put them to the test.

I've owned a Ninja and have  used the Speedster, Power Flite and Scorpion. After using the Scorpion I purchased one.Three vac's in parallel on 2" Truck - mount hose and slotted Glide, awesome airflow and drying times.
The only thing I want is some additional heat, so I'm in the process of buying an inline heater. I prefer inline as I don't want  to put  excessive heat through the pump and damage it.
Most of the time I don't need great amounts of heat as I use Microsplitters but it will boost the cleaning on commercial jobs.

     Regards Rob

Hi, Gary the Ninja I had was 3kw internal tank element type and went through the pump, but I prefer the inline as you get little heat loss at the Wand.
Also with 2" Truck-mount hose the airflow is awesome,I run upto  22.5 m  from the van no problem with a 3m 1.5" wip for manoeuvrability round furniture.
The Alltec Millennium has the same setup you speak of  but in one machine, vac's still in series I prefer 3 in parallel there's more cfm's.

 Regards Rob

We use our scorpion truckmounted 90% of the time. I'd try and post a picture of the setup later. Suction is fantastic, we did a really bad flood this week and the amount of water recovered was great.

Like Robert, I too am looking for an in-line heater to use with the machine but have still not decided on which one.

Cheers,

Huw.

Robert,

Have you a tank with your Scorpion.

Do you still have to buy all the tools, does that not put about £400 on the price.

Seems like the Scorpion may fit the bill. Speed of set up but half the price of a truckmount. I no there's no dierect compaison but as I plan only doing 2/3 jobs till about 2pm so can't justify a proper TM.

Having said that another 3k get you a prowler.

Nice one. For some reason I assumed you would have a reel for hoses. Looks like a smalish van what is it?

It's a vivaro SWB. The carpet cleaning equipment takes up the back half of the van with a panel dividing the front half which has all our window cleaning setup and 400ltr tank for carrying pure water.

There's still quite a bit of space left in front half of van for all our other bits and bobs we use for builders cleans, even holds my industrial pressure washer!

The van is at our office so I can't take picture of front half today.

Cheers,

Huw.

Hi Ian,

No, I do not have tanks at present time, but shall get them in near future.
I have had the tools that come with Scorpion but paid for machine in advance and received 10% discount, which brought machine down to just over £3000 with VAT.

A mate of mine purchased a scorpion about 5 weeks ago. He loves it !

He had a ninja before, says the performance is FAR better.

He uses it truckmounted, with a flat type tank for fresh water and the proper scorpion Aux waste tank.

Hes got it fitted in a Scudo, i will see if i can get any pics.

He also carrys a dry solvent machine and dry fusion set up, all on the van at the same time !

He says that at 75ft he cant tell any difference in suction than at 25ft.

Also when using the Aux waste tank he doesnt notice any drop in power.

He uses a ashbys steammate for heat, but fills up the tank with hot water in the morning and so often doesnt need to use any form of water heater..

regards

Chris

Hi Huw,
I'm going to purchase the Meteor 2kw  inline heater sold by Solutions uk.
The reason is two 1kw elements work indpendant of each other and the suppliers of my Scorpion endorse it, so I know it to be compatible with my machine.

P.s as Chris mentioned the 3kw V2 Steam-mate is a good option, but the Meteor is cheaper and lighter though has slightly less heat at 2kw.

 Regards Rob
