I use GG4 because of its water holding propertys, I clean the window in sections & heavily soak my applicator. I always try to avoid cleaning windows on the sunny side, and mark my jobs for the best time of the day to clean depending on window facing direction.

Well fantasia,

These boards are a two-way thing - tell us a bit more about you, and we'll tell you a bit more about the right stuff to use in your bucket!

Nah, there's no great mystery - use GG3 or 4 with clean water and you won't need to use V*****r, or F**** L***** promise!

Whaddya mean you don't know what GG3 or GG4 is? Do a search or just go to http://www.titanlabs.net/gg3.htm and find out all about it. 3 is for soft water areas and 4 is for hard.

to avoid squeege marks
Use fresh rubber - I've heard of some folk on these boards going through three sides per day. If you persevere with a rubber after YOU notice it's leaving marks, just consider how long it would take to swap a new blade over against the extra time it takes to scrim/microfibre over the marks. Trust me - it's cheaper to swap over, especially if you can buy one yard of pulex for £1 +vat.

If you do start to use GG3/4 you might want to use a slightly shorter squeegee blade as you need a lighter touch.

I hope this sets you off in the right direction, ask away if you're not sure about anything.

All the best - and it's good to see you here. Dont be a stranger - OK?

Fill a small squirty bottle (I use 500ml Fairy bottle) with whichever solution you use, put it in one of your pockets and give your applicator a squirt when you think it`s getting too dry. You`ve no excuse then for streaks due to the sun drying the window. It`s useful too when you can`t get to your bucket.
I use it in winter as well - you put just enough water on the applicator to clean the window, so less mopping up.
I got the idea from Denzle,it works for me.
