Aqua Tec Trolly in Fiat Punto?
« on: June 13, 2004, 01:28:04 pm »
Hello all,

So far, thanks for all the advice that I have found on this site. I have been cleaning windows now for 10 years and just in the past couple of weeks of reading this site I found some brilliant ideas which helped me a lot. (Dog earing channels is my favorite.)

I am in the process of choosing a trolly WFP system due to the new safety directives. So far I am attracted to the Aqua Tec trolly system.

The problem I envisage is that I only have a Fiat Punto. Dose anyone have any idea about whether this trolly system will fit in the back with the seats down? ??? Also, how many 25 ltr containers can I expect to get in the car too? My round is only 10 minuits away from my house (250 houses on one Barrats estate.) so no worries about overloading the car for a long time.   :-[

Can anyone help please?

Thanks - Colin

Hi Colin,

The dimensions of Peter's trolley system are as follows . . .

With the handle "closed" it's roughly 30"long x18"wide x28"high and the containers are 11"x10"x19"high but two together are only 37" because the handle goes into a recess in the bottom of the next drum. Remember the hose reels have to go somewhere and the poles will go on the roofrack.

Hope this helps a bit.

Consider saving for a van, after a while you'll get totally hacked off having to take the gear out and in to let passengers travel with you.

Hi Colin
If I was to choose a trolley system I would go for the omnipole  system as they have thought everything through, and the list of extra add ons  are quite good .

Yeah i got an omnipole system and there well worth the money very good systems. Your be more than happy with this system specially when you can get some many more attchments for the pole and do more jobs, as its not just window cleaning this system :)

The trolley may well fit in, but you must also consider how much water you will be able to carry with you.

Expect to use at least 100 Litres per day, that's 4x25litre water barrels.  These are heavy and bulky.

You will find that you will need to seriously consider getting a van.  We just got one when we had been using our car.  You can use a car but it is a pain in the bum,  a van is heaven compared to it.
