Yes the NCCA are passive and only give you a lead to a potential customer! but if your operating a business and you want it to be a sucsess, you then need to have your own unique approach and individualism to sucseed.
If you want somebody to hold your hand, then you might aswell work for somebody else and pack in your business.

Could be like that, I was thinking the other way around.

You google 'carpet cleaning' and then you go to the site and then click on your region with price guides, you put your name address and deposit down and then a comfirmation of details come through to a cc from HQ all you have to do is contact client on when and where.

Imight add thaat I have researched this for a while, and will be looking to charge a little above the average prices that were quoted by independent carpet cleaners around the country, most people who have contacted me are at that level, the ones that are higher, my best wishes go with you.

I would be intrested in finding out more about it, however how do we know that our local competors are not just going to look at what we are charging ?? if you are going to publish the prices.

Jason, i am always looking at new ways of generating more business, however, if you stated the prices you are looking to target then im sure it would put more people in the picture? Rather than a cloak and dagger personal email that the rest of us(forum) cannot see.
I am interested as to how this would work but very curious-and jubious?

I suppose this may sound dubious but Jason is a good honesy lad, I've spoke and met him quite a few times and he has bought items from me and has always paid in full on time.

I can recommend him

Shaun i am not questioning Jason's integrity! However i am failing to see where this will lead? Personally i never tell people on this forum what i charge and what benefits i give my customers. Period. Like i stated i am always open(up)for new ventures and always praise a well-doer! However, MORE than most men, i am a stickler for knowing the ins and outs and WILL NOT dip my toe in to see if the water is quite clement!(there is always a fool to do that-free of charge!) If the prices are applicable then i maybe interested?

hi jason i wish you the best of luck but in my opinion the prices you quoted me in a p/m are for the lower end of the market.  i know you dont want to publish prices for what ever reason you give  but the uphlostery prices you want to quote would equate to the average time spent [ i guess] on a typical suite at £20 to £25 an hour take travel and costs in to consideration and there is not much profit in that for a cc so i cant see the incentive unless the cc is just starting out and if thats the case the chance of getting a top class job has got to be less. this then could  lead to further problems call backs bad reputation etc etc no offence meant just an observation

LOL what a load of rubbish! Do you guys honestly think there is a magic internet website out there that is going to attract you ALL lots of customers?

In my area I'm on page one of google and normally come out number one on msn, how would this internet site get me more inquiries? It`s just another of the 10s of directories that are already out there, fair enough if it`s free to join then you have nothing to lose but don`t go thinking it`s the next great marketing miracle.

Well if certain people do not wish to participate and recieve work that is fine, I HAVE NEVER SAID IT IS AN AMAZING MARKETING TECHNIQUE. Nor promised huge volumes of work. The astute people have already cottoned on that this is free work.... the advertising/marketing cost is already taken(via my commission)
Therefore say for example you are turning over 100,000 a year, and you now pay 10,000 in marketing costs, for every £100 job you do you are paying £10 to get it( in fact you are probably paying more since some of your work will no doubt be repeat/referral ) .
All I am doing is getting leads and converting them to sales, if you dont like it , no need to forward your details, there are plenty of people who do!
The prices are slightly above the national average, which equates out around £250 a day, if you earn more I am happy for you, good luck. In my own business I charge more than that I have chosen to seek out  the middle market, as it is easier to sell on the phone to.
