Inside conservatory roof
« on: November 09, 2006, 07:33:21 pm »
Hello to you.
Got asked to clean the inside of a huge conservatory.  Put a good price in and we are set to do it on Sat.
My question is;
Is there a certain way that is best to clean the insides of the roof panels?  These panels are all sloping.  I was just going to go at them with t-bar and squeegee but was wondering if there is a top tip that will make the job less splashy .

Cheers in advance for any info or top tips.

I do the insides of one on a regular basis and can't soap the windows since there's sofas and stuff in the way.

I use step-ladders, spray, micro-fibre and elbow grease.

It's not much fun and this part of the job spoils a really good account.

Tosh,
This had crossed my mind but this place is the size of the eden project!
I figured that micro's and hand spray bottle would take me forever.  (It's me 30th b-day on sat so I want to finish earlyish) ;)
The windows and doors won't be a prob just the roof. I was hoping that a damp-ish t-bar would reduce the drip and splash factor but I may have to return to the micros.
Cheers for the input tho mate.

It's probably worth a try; if it doesn't work; go for plan B (spray, elbow grease, etc).

Hi,

I have found that once a first clean is done with applicator & squeegee the wagtail all in one does a good job.

Would it be a bad idea to use a steam cleaner linked to a squeegy/sponge on a pole? or is this too dangerous when considering the glass is cold in this weather?

Conservatory done today.  Happy birthday to me etc.
Squeegee'd with aplicator just in front of squeegee and there were no drips to be seen.  All in all it took about 2 hours and the old boy who owns it was well pleased, even got a tip.
Anyway, enough of this typing lark.  Time for a s, s, s and off to the pub for a small white wine.
