when was that? 1956?

My mate says when they tell him a silly figure

"I can clean like that, it's only £25, I'll do it now, take me about 15 minutes"

or you can have ........ for £

usually customers that buy at that price can't be bothered to ring the last guy because they are too lazy.

They only buy when the item that wants cleaning is dire and want it done quick cheap and cheerful so if anyone comes in with a cheaper price then the original cleaner is sacked.

They always say that the last cleaner wasn't good but want the same price DOH!

It's just the mentality they have, the best thing is not to advertise or market to these people if you want to make a good buck.

They might be great, lovely people who you could call the salt of the earth but remember they'll not pay your morgage.

Hi

Its also true that they dont ask him back because.

He is to busy. ( because cheap )

He has jacked it in. ( because cheap )

He didn't keep in touch. ( because stupid )

He told them to p**s off. ( because a bit dearer now )

So where's the cheapest place to buy carpet cleaning chemicals and machines then?

They also have mortgages to pay, children to feed...just seems ironic really that you see the above question so often on the forums

Sorry it had to be said! ::)

If you project the image , to your clients, you project on here I can't imagine you get too many repeats

You might be a  really pleasant and  genuine,  individualwho provides a fantastic service, but you come across as a high heeled, stetson wearer.

Its been also said many times, buying an item is different to buying services.
Bit like buying petrol, if its £0.90p litre @ 1 garage and £0.83 down the road, I know where I'm going. Same stuff, differnet price!

Dont know why I did it, but I went cheap when I had my drive done, big mistake, never again! :(

Spot on Phil, because you are comparing like for like, unlike a service where you can sell yourself a little more.

did that job in deepcar shaun, he was a NUTTER, bonkers, the flats are called  the greenway, now i know why they call it strangeways.
He was about 40, had max power mags allover , and drives a car all, big wheels spoilers and daft stereo, just like a 17 year old, used to be a car valeter ,and had failed miserably to clean his settee with a puzzi.  thanks anyway
